WHAT IS THE
CHRISTMAS PAST FESTIVAL?
Saturday, December 8th, 2007
(always the second Saturday of December)
9:00a-4:00p Girod St and at participating OMBA businesses
- A one day, FREE event, the finale to the
“Winter on the Water” celebration in Old Mandeville.
- 2006 is our 3rd Annual event!
- Festival goers and participants alike are
encouraged to costume
- An event encouraging visitors and participating
businesses to dress in costume from the 19th Century
- An inside and outside street event with businesses
and residents participating in various entertaining
aspects and elements of the season.
- Starting at the Trailhead/Farmers Market at 9am
with vendors/artists moving to Girod Street
1-5pm for continued shopping for visitors.
- Decorating contest for business and resident category. Decorations of the era include: white lights, single (electric) candles in every window, fresh greenery for garland, red bows, pine cones, fruit
- A full day scheduled with costumed characters,
Father Christmas (Santa) visits, Horse & Carriage rides, theatrical performances, menu items of the season at various restaurants & cafes, Scrooge Scavenger Hunts,
arts & crafts, and ending with a costume ball!
